Easter Conservation Services began in 2001 specializing in the conservation of frames, furniture, gilded objects, paintings, prints, as well as ceramic and glass objects.
Our standards and ethics are those of the American Institute for the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC). Conservation, unlike restoration, requires that all procedures are reversible. Our technicians are all trained in conservation methods and all have Fine Art degrees.
We are expert in matting and framing a wide array of art, objects, and textiles.
Has been a Professional Associate in AIC since 1998. She has worked at the Indianapolis Museum of Art from 1989 until 2001. During that time, she received a grant from the Indianapolis Arts Council to study period English Picture Frames at the National Portrait Gallery in London, and in 2004 was awarded a grant from AIC to study French Furniture Making Techniques in France. In addition she was selected to go to Cuba with AIC in 2010 to assess conservation methods.
